Eran Tibi brings the laid back vibe of Tel-Aviv food to Soho. An all-day, all night offering with a debaucherous soundtrack and subterranean private dining.
Over two floors, Kapara is a hedonistic paradise of Israeli style eating & drinking. A spectrum of middle eastern flavours, Israeli wine and naughty cocktails in heart of central Soho.
Today, I’m absolutely thrilled to share with you a recipe close to my heart—a labour of love that I’ve playfully dubbed “14 Carat Hummus.” This dish doesn’t just sparkle; it positively glitters with a golden finish, courtesy of the harmonious marriage of roasted carrots and chickpeas. It’s culinary glam at its finest!

Celebrating Sober October!
At Kapara, we embrace the beauty of mindful choices, especially during Sober October. Today, we invite you to experience a refreshing twist with our exclusive recipe for Rhubarb, Strawberry, and Lime Gazoz – a vibrant and invigorating non-alcoholic drink that perfectly embodies the essence of Kapara.
In this blog post, I want to share my personal perspective on this meaningful celebration, the significance of Rosh Hashanah, and how Kapara is weaving tradition into a modern and inclusive dining experience
In the heart of London’s vibrant Soho neighbourhood, my journey as a chef began as a wide-eyed culinary arts student at the prestigious Cordon Bleu Chef’s School 15 years ago. Back then, the thought of one day owning a restaurant, especially in the heart of the LGBTQ+ community, felt surreal. Little did I know that this dream would not only come true but exceed all expectations.
In the heart of Soho, lies a secret. A secret we want to share with you.
An experience like no other. A trip to an Israeli restaurant in London that will fulfil your every aching need, your every wanton desire. Leave your inhibitions at the door and let your fantasies take over as you enter, Kapara.
Situated in the lively Soho restaurant district, rather than being a new restaurant in central London filled with pomp and pretension that wants to send you to sleep before the fish course, our aim is different.
When you enter Kapara you will feel a tingle up your spine as you spend a thrilling evening you will never forget in our luxurious, uproarious, debauched, excessive, and flamboyant middle eastern restaurant in London. Strap in and engorge yourself on our expansive menu filled with sumptuous delights.
From superstar chef Eran Tibi comes the unique taste of Israeli cuisine, a taste we guarantee you will want to have in your mouth again and again. We take pride in our food, as well as ourselves, offering up only the best ingredients from locally sourced small businesses to allow you to luxuriate in Eran’s culture and his take on his personal memories from a life lived to excess to create an incredible experience at this Israeli restaurant in London, in the heart of Soho.
What influences Eran’s unique menu?
Family and fun define what makes Eran tick. He has a Tunisian born father and a Syrian-Israeli mother and was brought up in a lively household with a larger-than-life grandfather who was a flamboyant womaniser who loved life and its many indulgences. He owned a bar, a club, and a restaurant, his influence on Eran and his ambitions is clear.
As well as family, Eran loves to travel and he uses many international milestones from his life to influence his cooking. On his adventurous travels he has drawn from the cultures of far east asia, western Africa, Thailand and Japan. These influences can be felt in the walls, floors, in the very air of Kapara. We want to bring the vibrancy of human existence and the very best of days into your life when you visit the best Israeli restaurant in London.
The best things in life are shared with others, we are one of the most fun places to eat in Soho. The intimacy of a meal, a look shared, of touch and sensation, it is all the same to us.
