From an early age, Eran Tibi saw food not as fuel – but as a way of life. His earliest memories are tied to the kitchen: helping his father in the family bakery, trimming okra tips with his mother, and learning that love and flavour go hand-in-hand. It wasn’t just about cooking – it was about connection. Sharing food. Making moments. Celebrating what makes life taste good.
That same energy runs through everything he creates – bold, heartfelt dishes that reflect who he is and how he lives.
Though Eran first built a successful career in marketing, he knew something was missing. So at 30, he left the boardroom behind and stepped into the kitchen – enrolling at London’s prestigious Le Cordon Bleu to hone his technique and reignite his creative fire.
What followed was a journey through some of the city’s most respected kitchens, working with standout chefs including Sami Tamimi at Ottolenghi, Ramael Scully at Nopi, and Josh Katz at Made in Camden. But Eran’s goal was always to create a space of his own – one that expressed his flavour, energy and worldview, without compromise.
Eran’s first restaurant, Bala Baya, brought his distinctive cooking style to the London dining scene – playful, generous, full of soul. It was followed by the launch of Kapara, his Soho flagship and creative playground, where dining is immersive, theatrical and always unexpected.
Kapara is more than a restaurant – it’s a destination. A space that invites you to eat, drink, express yourself, and feel something. Every detail reflects Eran’s ethos: bold flavour, inclusive energy, and living in the moment.
Eran’s food draws inspiration from the people, places, and cultures he’s experienced on his travels – from Tokyo to Tangier, San Francisco to Shoreditch. But it’s always filtered through his own lens: unapologetic, high-energy, and unafraid to twist the rules.
From signature takes on Babka chargrilled like steak, to his layered approach to mezze, brunch, or family-style feasting – every plate is designed to bring people together and spark joy at the table.
Whether you’re joining us for brunch, celebrating something special, or just chasing the buzz of Soho after dark – Eran’s cooking is at the centre of it all. Rooted in passion. Built on generosity. And crafted to turn everyday dining into something far more unforgettable.
